Through these services, Edible Urban Gardens increases access to fresh local produce for food-insecure populations, but more importantly, it teaches community members how to grow their own food to take charge of their own food security.

Edible Urban Gardens will launch its debut three-year long project, “Farm to Family,” in collaboration with local non-profit Farm & Community Collaboartive and the Taunton Housing Authority in September 2020. Together, we will implement an urban garden; an educational workshop series; employment opportunities for community members; as well as a Pop-Up Farm Stand at the Bristol Commons Affordable Housing Development in Taunton, MA. Farm to Family will serve as a replicable model to foster self-reliant, food secure communities through urban gardening in the Gateway cities Edible Urban Garden’s serves and beyond.

Edible Urban Gardens is  supported in part by its fee for services. It is also supported by Edible Homescapes’ “Sponsor a Garden” program, which encourages its clientele to purchase services with a built-in fee to support Edible Urban Garden’s programs.
